Mohammed Ibn Abass the District Chief Executive of Nanumba North in the Northern region has described the current peace in Bimbilla as shaky.
The troubled town is currently under a 4:00 pm to 6:00am curfew following recent clashes which left 13 people dead.
Deputy Interior Minister James Agalga has arrived in the area with a government delegation including the Northern Regional minister to assess the security situation there.
The delegation first met at the Chief's palace where a lot of discussions were held.
The District Chief Executive briefed the delegation before they took off to speak to the factions.
"We are on top of security situation. The citizenry are going about their normal duties and respecting the curfew. From where we sit we are achieving our objectives.
"But in every situation you cannot tell what the future will be. Any untoward situation can reverse the progress we have made so far."
Whilst still describing the area as calm, the DCE was quick to add that the situation is still unpredictable because there are still suspicion amongst the feuding factions.
Joy News' Seth Kwame Boateng who is in Bimbilla said the Deputy Interior Minister together with the CID boss Prosper Ablorh told the factions the president is not happy with the violence.
He appealed to the factions to smoke the peace pipe, hinting the president may be paying them a visit very soon.
