The Minister of Health, Alban Bagbin has said that government will not be forced to dissolve the board of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This remark comes in the midst of accusation from the junior doctors who are accusing the board of being inefficient hence are pushing for its dissolution.
In an interview with Joy FM, the Health Minister revealed that the government needs time to conduct its own investigations on the allegations brought forward by the junior doctors.
According to Alban Bagbin, the decision from government after their investigations could either be to remove the members of the board which were appointed by the government or do other engineering in the structure of the hospital that would ultimately affect the composition of the board.
He however maintained the government will not rush into any decision which might go contrary to the Teaching Hospital Act.
