Bofoakwa Tano are keen to extend their stunning unbeaten home streak to 46 matches when they welcome Hearts of Oak to the Sunyani Coronation Park on week two of the Ghana Premier League.
The Sunyani-based side are yet to be defeated at their backyard in a competitive match since the 2020/21 season after a 1-0 loss to Nsoatreman in the Division One League.
The Premier League returnees won all but one (W13, D1) matches at the Coronation Park last season in the second tier which was instrumental in their topflight return.
They face Hearts who are yet to win any of their last 11 matches on the road.
“We are playing at home and we will want to win most of our home games,” head coach Frimpong Manso said in a pre-match interview.
“It may be difficult sometimes but then looking at the league, every team would want to take advantage of their home. So yes, we are going for a win against Hearts of Oak.”
Bofoakwa have won seven of their last nine matches in all competitions including winning against Skyy FC to lift the Division One League Super Cup trophy.

The Hunters have already started the season on a good note, jointly top of the Premier League, having picked up four points from six (W1, D1).
Hearts on the other hand, have not had a smooth start under new head coach, Martin Koopman with three points after two matches (W1, L1).
"We know Hearts of Oak have the name and they have been in the system for a very long time,” Frimpong said.
“They are a very strong side and you can't name two teams in Ghana without mentioning Hearts of Oak. We know what they can do but then we have done a lot in our preparations. We know it is going to be tough but I think we have done a lot of work.”
Bofoakwa goalkeeper, Emmanuel Kobi is relishing the challenge of facing the Phobians.
“We are a newly promoted side and we are doing our possible best. As a player, you don’t have to fear some matches, you have to be proud playing especially big teams like Hearts of Oak.”
Bofoakwa are yet to beat Hearts of Oak since 1995 - 18 matches without victory.
The seemingly promising encounter kicks off on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
