A team of selected boxers from the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) will soon embark on a tour of Togo for an impending international assignment.
The team is expected to pitch their strength against their Togolese counterparts as part of preparations for an international invitational tournament with a team from the United Kingdom later next year.
Gideon Quartey, Vice Chairman of the Association told GNA Sports that the tour has been fixed for early next year with arrangement reaching advanced level.
He said the team would be made up of boxers selected after the series of contests, which ended last Friday.
Mr Quartey named some of the selected boxers to include Jessy Lartey and Duke Micah – Light Flyweight, Emmanuel Amarteifio and Offei Dodoo – Lightweight and Charles Stella – Middleweight.
The rest are Felix Agbozo and Ben Lamptey – Light Welterweight, Maxwell Amponsah – Light Heavyweight and Gideon Osabutey – Heavyweight.
