Guaranteed Trust Bank otherwise referred to as GT Bank is assuring its customers of improved and uninterrupted services.
To this end, the bank has today introduced 2 corporate purchasing and transaction MasterCards onto the market, relaunched its *737# mobile banking platform, plus an ultra-modern data processing centre on the Spintex Road here in Accra.
These according to the bank has become necessary as it tries to meet the increasing needs of its customers. Speaking with JOY BUSINESS, Managing Director Olalekan Sanusi said the bouquet of services is to ensure its customers continue to experience the best of banking.
In terms of the past, we have *737# which we have recreated for the future. We have also launched corporate MasterCard which is also for the future, and of course, we have opened our data processing centre here on the Spintex Road.
It is not a branch but a distinct building for data processing. It makes us very prepared for the future. So you inherit the past but you create the future, so we are creating the future.
The data processing centre is opened in line with best international practice wherein you have a primary center where all the I.T. stuff including data recording are done.
It has a backup in which case if there is any problem there data would not be lost. But on top of that backup, you create another backup offsite.
We are therefore assuming that should anything happen to our primary centre like fire, there is no way fire will gut our head office and affect this place too. In this regard, we can simply switch to this place and business can continue.
The facility according to him cost the bank over 1 million dollars to complete and be stocked with equipment. It’s a customized building where we have separated the power centre from where the servers are.
We have fire suppressing equipment where if anything should happen, a sprinkle will automatically kick in. We’re also issuing two variances of Corporate MasterCard because we have looked at the needs of corporate customers.
If companies need to engage in some expenses in its own name the like paying utility bills, it could rely on the Corporate Purchasing Cards.
The Corporate Executive Cards could also be used by corporate executives on their trips for example in which case they would not need to be given any cash advance. The card he says ensures security and accountability.
