Moments after Chef Failatu finished her bid to set a new record in an impressive cooking marathon, the Guinness World Records has acknowledged the move.
This was after the Ghanaian chef Failatu Abdul-Razak completed a 227-hour cook-a-thon attempt after 10 days in the kitchen.
The chef undertook this attempt to set a new mark at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale.

Throughout the marathon cooking session, Failatu showcased exceptional skills, preparing a diverse array of dishes amid a rich display of culture by the people of the Northern Region.
The achievement was praised by supporters at the venue as the stopwatch hit the 227th hour on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.
Even before the celebration dies down in the Northern Regional capital, the Guinness World Record appears to be excited about the challenge.
It posted on X (formerly Twitter) that "we look forward to reviewing her evidence!"

Chef Failatu Abdul Razak started the attempt on New Year’s Day to break the current longest cooking marathon record.
An emotional Faila could not hold back her tears in disbelief at what she had just accomplished amid a warm embrace from her assistant, Malik Eric.
She intended to beat the official 119-hour record set by Alan Fisher but ended up doing a rather astounding 227 hours:00mins:02 seconds.
Days before her showdown, Ugandan chef Dorcus Mirembe, popularly known as Mama D, cooked for 144 hours and is awaiting Guinness World Records' validation.
