Asamoah Gyan has been named as the stand-in captain for the Black Stars against Malawi on Saturday.
The Al-Ain striker will lead Ghana in the first leg fixture of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against the Flames at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Gyan will read a FIFA Fair-Play message before the start of the first leg match which kicks off at 15:30GMT.
