The Covid-19 crisis has upended the global fashion month calendar, but Milan's lineup of IRL collections felt like a slight return to normalcy.
Several of the city's biggest names held in-person shows, and models flew in for the opportunity to walk for brands like Versace, Fendi, and Valentino.
The schedule may have been familiar, but street style took a different tack for attendees and off-duty models.
This season it isn't enough to be photographed in a borrowed designer outfit; safety must also be paramount.
For spring/summer 2021's style nomads, masks were a must-have accessory. No one pulled the look off better than Hailey Bieber.
Arriving mid-week with best friend, Kendall Jenner, Bieber took in the city's ambiance in expertly styled looks, each of which featured a facial covering.

Though she breezed into Malpensa Airport on Friday wearing a magenta version of Balenciaga's 'Boxy' overcoat and enjoyed lunch with Jenner on Saturday while decked out in a print-heavy Maison Margiela blazer, Bieber's best look was her simplest. Spotted on Sunday, taking a selfie in front of her Versace billboard, she wore an essential item from its fall/winter 2020 collection.
Her leather trench detailed with metal rings would have been appealing on its own, but paired with Agolde's jet black jeans, spiked stilettos, and a wealth of gold necklaces from Fallon and the understated coat became a statement piece.
Bieber kept the black and gold theme going with a face mask from AKINGS and a pair of Versace sunglasses with a blingy Medusa head logo.
Bieber and stylist Maeve Reilly have always been good about creating notable outfits, but their latest looks have captured the spirit of the moment.
Sleek, chic, and safe? What more can a street style photographer ask for?
