Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas would face city rivals Eleven Wise at the Sekondi Gyandu Park on Wednesday, March 7 as part of the activities marking Ghana's Golden Jubilee Independence Celebrations.
The Regional Planning Committee of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations and the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) are organizing the match that would kick off at 3.00 p.m.
A statement issued by the RCC said at stake would be a giant trophy and a cash prize to be donated by the Council to the eventual winner.
The statement said Mr. Anthony Evans Amoah, Western Regional Minister and his Deputy, Mr. Kwesi Blay, Mr. Philip Kwesi Nkrumah, Shama-Ahanta East Metropolitan Chief Executive, Nana Kobina Nketsia, Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area among other dignitaries would grace the occasion.
Retired footballers at national and club levels as well as individuals who have contributed immensely to the development of sports particularly football in the Region, would be acknowledged and rewarded.
