The euphoria and Momentum is gradually building up for this weekend’s titanic duel between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in match day 22 of the GLO Premier league in Accra.
The two most glamorous teams in the country have not played too well in the premier league this season but that will not take anything away from the rivalry that exists between the two sides.
Truth is, the buzz that characterized such encounters in the past has not been the same the last few years and the actors who once upon a time provided thrills have been explaining why.
Emmanuel Amarh Senegal, a former Hearts of Oak defender recounted a day when Hearts beat Kotoko in Kumasi and said it was a special day for him.
He urged players of both clubs to try and generate excitement in the game by playing good football.
Former Asante Kotoko striker Prince Adu Poku, the man regarded as the original Prince of goals stressed the need for the club to groom players.
He said the current system was not helping the club.
Emmanuel Osei Kuffuor, one of the few players who have played for both Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko said the two clubs must intensify their training when they have to meet.
