Hearts of Oak chairman Togbe Afede XIV is desperate for his team to perform as the club plans to embark on a sensational rebuilding.
The Phobians failed to challenge for the title and were also eliminated from the FA Cup.
Also, the club failed to win any prizes at the end of season awards gala which was dominated by their rivals, Asante Kotoko, who won the league title.
But the Hearts chairman has announced that the Phobians will be embarking on decisive steps in their rebuilding of the squad that failed to impress and won nothing.
“We have found the problems that have mitigated against us over the past season and we are trying to resolve them,” Togbe Afede XIV told Kumasi-based Fox FM, explaining that there is available funds to spend.
“The most notably, is the need to strengthen our squad. Money to strengthen the squad is not our issue.”
According to him, attracting the best players in the market and motivating them about the Hearts of Oak project remains the challenge for the Phobians.
“The issue is attracting the best players in order to give us a balanced squad, one that is strong in defence, strong in midfield and strong in attack.
“And so far I can assure you that we are on the right track. We have talked to very good players who want to play for Accra Hearts of Oak so we are on course.
“The other issue is how to motivate the players once they are in and we have come up with strategies to do that.”
The club has hinted of a massive clear-out ahead of the new football season.
