Ghanaian striker Asamoah Gyan says he never said or wrote to the Ghana Football Association that he has quit the Black Stars.According to him, Psychological reasons made him take a break from the national team and not anger or criticisms. He announced his withdrawal from the national team in February after missing a penalty during the semi-final defeat to African Champions Zambia at the 2012 Nations Cup in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.“I’m still a player of the Black Stars. I wrote a letter to the GFA that I needed an indefinite break but people misquoted me and said I quit which is not right,” He told Joy Sports.“The coach (Kwasi Appiah) came to the UAE, he spoke to me and made his point and I also made mine clear to him and it was really acceptable”.“The GFA have done their job and everything is in my court now, I have to psyche myself and then come back strongly”.The Al Ain striker had a successful loan spell at United Arab Emirates where he won the league and goal king with 22 goals.
