Inflation has inched above the single digit range as February rate went up to 10 percent from 8.8 in January.
This is the first time the inflation figure has hit a double digit since June 2010.
At a news conference to announce the rate, Acting government statistician, Philomena Nyarko attributed the marginal increase mainly to the recent increase in fuel and transport fares.
“The monthly change rate for February 2013 was 2.6 per cent compared to a figure of 2. 1 per cent in January 2013.
The year-on-year non food inflation rate was 12.6 per cent and that for January 2013 was 11.5 per cent,” she said.
