Ghana defender Daniel Opare says he is making steady progress towards full recovery from a foot injury.
The 21-year-old sustained a fifth metatarsal injury three weeks ago during training and is expected to be out for three months.
The estimated recovery period puts the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations prospect of the Standard Liege right-back in great doubt.
But Opare is confident of making a quicker than expected return to first team action.
“I have been injured for three weeks now but am getting better,” he said.
“I am currently working in the gym every day and I believe I will return very soon.”
The ex Ghana U-20 star has battled injuries since the start of the season.
He also had a torrid time with injuries during his time at Spanish giants Real Madrid.
