The Minister for the Interior, Mohammed Muntaka-Mubarak, has received a donation of assorted food items from the Hudai Foundation to support prison inmates during the holy month of Ramadan.
The donation, presented at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra, includes rice, tomato paste, spaghetti, sunflower oil, and sugar. It was handed over as a gesture of goodwill and charity by the Foundation.

Speaking at the handover, Mr Muntaka-Mubarak expressed his gratitude to the Hudai Foundation and the Turkish Ambassador to Ghana.
He said the contribution would go a long way in improving the living conditions of inmates.

“We appreciate this kind gesture from the Hudai Foundation and the Turkish government,” the minister said.
“As a ministry, we are committed to ensuring that the health and well-being of inmates are taken care of despite their circumstances. We welcome any support that can help improve conditions in our prisons.”

He also assured the Turkish Ambassador of the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between Ghana and Turkey.
The minister thanked the Ambassador and the Hudai Foundation for their annual donation and called on other organisations to support the Ghana Prisons Service in its efforts to improve inmate welfare.

Hudai Country Coordinator, Mr Remzi Şeker, explained that the donation is part of the Foundation’s ongoing charity and goodwill initiatives.
“Ramadan is a month of blessings and sacrifices, and we believe it is our duty to support those in need. We will continue to do our best to provide support to the needy and vulnerable, including prison inmates,” he said.

The Hudai Foundation is a Turkish charitable organisation that provides humanitarian assistance to vulnerable populations, including orphans, widows, and prisoners.
In Ghana, it has been involved in a range of philanthropic activities, including providing food, clothing, and medical supplies to those in need.
