The Chairman and the entire Board of Directors, as well as the management of JISLAH Financial Services last week had a special social evening with representatives of some of the key clients, shareholders and other stakeholders, including staff and partners.
The event was used to take stock of JISLAH’s operations last year, acknowledge the support and loyalty of the Company’s clients, celebrate 20 years of business and to kick-start 2016 while appreciating the mercies of God.
The Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel T. Obeng, told the gathering that JISLAH made commendable strides in 2015, despite the challenges in the financial sector - emerging as the 42nd Company in Ghana Club 100 awards last year.
He recalled that although “dumsor (i.e. power outages), economic downturn and the unfriendly business environment” weighed heavily on the financial sector, the unfailing mercies of God ensured that JISLAH had “a different story to tell.”
“We are here tonight with a song in our hearts to say thank you to God Almighty, our Board of Directors, partners and the management and staff of JISLAH, that together we made it,” he said.
For 2016, he said JISLAH “will explore every opportunity to excel in our performance and delivery to ensure that all stakeholders’ expectations are exceeded.”
Mr. Obeng assured stakeholders JISLAH would achieve greater heights “by applying ourselves with integrity to serve, create the necessary leverage to propel our achievement through harmony.”
This focus, he insisted, has been aimed at reinforcing the mission statement of the company.
Some of the stakeholders at the event included, Dr. Sampson E. Apraku, Executive Chairman of Samara Group of Companies (SASSO), representatives of Fidelity Bank, Royal Bank, NDK Financial Services Limited etc.
The other members of the Board at the event who freely interacted with the stakeholders were, Dr Sam Mensah, Chairman of the Ghana Stock Exchange, Mr Clifford Mettle, President of the Institute of Bankers, James K. Anaman, former President Ghana Chamber of Mines, Daniel S. Obeng , Managing Director of Integrated Solutions Limited, and Mrs Sheila F. Obeng, Executive Director.
On his part, the Board Chairman and Chairman of Ntrakwa and Associates, a leading Corporate Law Firm in Ghana, Lawyer Felix K. Ntrakwa, commended the management and staff for their hard work in 2015.
To meet the goals of the company for the year, he charged particularly the staff to rededicate themselves and double their efforts this year.
