Political commentator and founder and Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Iddrisu Bature has died.
The senior journalist died at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital Friday where he had been on admission after suffering a stroke.
A relative, Alhaji Ibrahim Bature, confirmed the news to Myjoyonline.com.
He was 60 years.
He said arrangments were being made to send the body home for Islamic rights to be performed ahead of the burial ceremony early Saturday.
Alhaji Bature, a known sympathiser of the National Democratic Congress, was a regular panelist on popular political discussion talk shows on radio and television.
The last time he was on Adom TV's Badwam programme was about three weeks ago and told friends he wasn't feeling too well.
Shortly after that he suffered a stroke whilst in his bath and was rushed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
Close family sources say he lost his speech and struggled a lot.
