Joy 99.7 FM will hold a stakeholders forum on labour agitations in Ghana on Thursday, April 4, 2013.The Joy FM forum will address teething challenges in the labour front that have culminated into numerous industrial actions in recent times.Key among the topics to be discussed include;-Is the current wage system fair to all?
-Are negotiations outside the Single Spine Salary Structure sustainable?Officials from the National Labour Commission, Fair Wages and Salaries Commission (FWSC), the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), University Teachers Association of Ghana(UTAG), Tertiary Education Workers Union (TEWU), the Ghana Medical Association, (GMA) as well as officials from the Ministries of Finance and Employment are to brainstorm on the issue of labour agitations and to find other alternatives and lasting solutions to the matter.The general public is also invited to take part in the forum that will take place at the Coconut Groove Hotel on Thursday between 5:00pm-7:00pm.
