The 2019/20 Joy Sports football season is here, and the team introduce the packed campaign with the UEFA Super Cup.
Liverpool and Chelsea will compete for the European Super Cup when they meet at Istanbul’s Besiktas Park on Wednesday.
The Reds won the Champions League for the sixth time in their history last season, and are hoping to claim this trophy for the fourth time.
Having opened their Premier League campaign with a 4-1 victory over Norwich last week, they are favorites to come out on top in Turkey.
Frank Lampard began his homecoming with a 4-0 thrashing against Manchester United at the weekend but is available to bounce back with a memorable victory here.
Seven of the last 12 encounters between this pair have resulted in draws.
New football season
The all English Super Cup between Liverpool and Chelsea will usher in the new Joy Sports football season with listeners of Joy 99.7 FM being served with best of commentary.
Throughout the campaign, there will be live commentary of Champions League games from the group stage, Europa League games, Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches and select European qualifying games.
So join the commentary team, led by George Addo Jnr and Gary Al-Smith as they begin the journey on Wednesday, August 14, 2019, until May 2020.
