Experienced Cote d'Ivoire striker Salomon Kalou was the star African in the Germany Bundesliga this weekend, stealing the show from free-scoring Gabon hitman Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Kalou bagged a hat-trick for highflying Hertha Berlin as they defeated hosts Hannover 96 1-3.
The 30-year-old opened scoring in the 33rd minute after getting on the end of a beautiful counterattacking move. He doubled the advantage on the hour mark from another counterattack, before sealing the win from the spot on 87 minutes after Hannover had pulled one back in the 70th minute.
The win sent Hertha to fourth on the table, while the goals took the former Chelsea star\'s haul to seven in 11 appearances this season. That is still half the tally so far scored by Aubameyang, who netted what proved the winner for his club Borussia Dortmund as they defeated derby rivals Schalke 3-2 on Sunday.
Kalou and Aubameyang were the only Africans on target in the Bundesliga this weekend.
