The authorities of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital are meeting to make contingency plans should doctors fall through with their threat to work like other civil servants – start work at 8 a.m. and close at 5 p.m.
The Ghana Medical Association adopted the measure to pressure government to revive stalled salary negotiations.
The action is expected to exact a heavy toll on health delivery as doctors boycott night and weekend duties.
Developments are being monitored.
