Madam Patricia Appiagyei, Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, has stressed the need for Ghanaians to exercise their bodies regularly to improve their health.
She observed that this would help the nation to nurture a vibrant workforce needed to advance her industrial development.
She said as an emerging economy it was imperative that “we put much emphasis on and commit resources to having a healthy citizenry” and, therefore, cautioned the public against alcoholism, bad eating habits and reckless lifestyles.
Madam Appiagyei was speaking in Kumasi at the launch of the new and improved peak milk manufactured by Friesland Foods Ghana.
The product is enriched and fortified with highly nutritious ingredients for sharper minds and stronger bodies.
The MCE called on the citizenry to always eat balanced-diet, fruits and also drink a lot of water to ensure longevity for the benefit of the nation.
Mr Felix Darko, Country Manager of Friesland Foods, said the improved product would help to give those who patronize it the needed vitamins and nutrition to enhance their health.
