Many musicians across the continent of Africa are learning to do away with foreign sound in their works and depend solely on the local beats available to them.
Burna Boy and Fireboy DML are two artistes who are prime examples of what an artiste can achieve with Afrobeat.
Hence it is not surprising former Black Avenue Music artiste, Kobla Jnr is aiming for that kind of high with his new works.
Although his latest song ‘Say Fi’, which features rapper Pappy Kojo, was not officially released until October 2019, the artiste collaborated with Made Music Africa in a sensational live band session earlier in the year.
Kobla Jnr approached ‘Say Fi’ with a versatility that lingers even after the performance is over.
The singer, who left Black Avenue Music to pursue the kind of music he wants, is hoping to use that versatility in covering a broad range of genres with traces of Western and Afrobeat influences to create a unique style of his own.
