The Police in Kumasi have assured demonstrators of adequate security as they join their colleagues across the country to state their frustration over challenges facing the economy.
Nhyira FM's Ohemeng Tawiah reports from the Ashanti Regional capital that over 500 workers had converged at the Cultural Centre as at 7am, to express their anger at the difficult economic conditions.
The agitators, most of whom are businessmen and women are discouraged at government's apparent inability to tackle challenges facing the economy resulting in their devastating effects on the people.
They say they are unable to keep to their budget as prices of basic items keep increasing almost on daily basis, making it difficult for them to make savings on their income.
The police, led by Regional Commander DCOP Kofi Boakye are high on the alert, to ensure total security during and after the protests.
