Ghana and Juventus player Kwadwo Asamoah has made a huge progress in his injury recovery program and could return to action soon.
The 26-year-old midfielder completed his first training session for the first time in four months on Saturday as he gets closer to regain full fitness for the final lap of the season in Serie A.
The Ghanaian has been out of action since November last year with a left knee injury that ruled him out of Ghana’s squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
He was expected to spend two months out but further complications meant that the former Liberty professionals’ player had to endure a lengthy spell on the side lines.
He now has two weeks to show tremendous improvement to start earning playing time at Juventus, according to his coach Massimiliano Allegri.
Devoid of any setbacks in the final stages of his rehabilitation, he could make his much-awaited return to the pitch by end of the month.
Despite his absence, the Italian champions maintained their brilliance and are currently leading the Serie A standings with 73 points.
Kwadwo Asamoah joined the Old Lady from fellow Italian side Udinese in 2013 and has since won two Serie A titles.
