The Kwahu East District Chief Executive, Mr Samuel Asamoah, has filed nomination to contest the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary primary for the Abetifi constituency.
Mr Asamoah told GNA at Abetifi on Friday that he was confident of winning the parliamentary primary, and wrest the parliamentary seat from the New Patriotic Party.
He said the government has so far implemented more than 91 projects in the area to improve the standards of living of the people, under its Better Ghana Agenda.
Mr Asamoah said his contribution to the development of the district would convince the NDC delegates to give him the nod to contest the 2012 parliamentary election.
He advised party supporters in the constituency to register if the voters’ register is re-opened to enable them to exercise their franchise.
