Labour, Jobs and Employment Minister, Dr. Rashid Pelpuo, has called for deeper collaboration between government and the private sector to accelerate Ghana’s human capital development.
Speaking at the 5th National Precision Quality Conference in Accra, he stressed the urgent need for joint efforts to build a skilled workforce capable of driving industrialisation and sustainable economic growth.
“We need the private sector to work hand-in-hand with government so we can develop the skills of our people to drive industrialisation and economic growth,” Dr. Pelpuo said.
The conference, organised by the Design and Technology Institute (DTI), was held under the theme “Human Capital at the Heart of Ghana’s Economic Growth”.
Founder and President of DTI, Constance Swaniker, reaffirmed her institution’s commitment to supporting this national agenda through partnerships with industry players and government.

“At DTI, we are committed to building partnerships that will equip young people with the skills and competencies needed for Ghana’s economic transformation,” she told Joy Business.
The annual conference brings together policymakers, industry leaders, academia, and development partners to deliberate on strategies for aligning Ghana’s human capital development with its broader economic growth agenda.
