The mortal remains of the late Air Marshal Michael Akuoko Otu has been laid to rest at his family mausoleum at Adukrom Akuapem in the Eastern Region.

Family sources told Joy News that ashes of the late Air Marshall were collected for the burial.
The body burnt to ashes on Friday after the military helicopter conveying the casket to Adukrom crashed. The ensuing blaze also consumed the helicopter.

Air Marshal Otu retired from the Air Force in 1971, having served 28 years with the armed forces.
He died on October 8, 2006 at the age of 81.
