The State will hold an event to celebrate the life and works of the late Professor Kofi Nyidevu Awoonor who was killed in a terror attack in Kenya last month.
The event, which will take place at the National Theatre on Friday, October 11, 2013, will be attended by high profile personalities including president John Mahama.
The late Prof. Awoonor was among the dozens shot dead by Islamist terror group, Al Shabab, when the group seized the Westgate Shopping Mall in Nairobi on September 21, 2013. His son, Afetsi however survived gun wounds.
His remains were cremated after a private funeral ceremony was held in his honour in Accra last week.
