The chairperson of Planteers Foundation, Laura Turner has charged corporate organizations to take the lead in keeping the environments free from environmental pollution.
This was disclosed at a meeting with the various stakeholders to discuss issues concerning the environment in Accra.
The stakeholders meeting discussed best and practical ways to address solid and liquid waste management as well as environmental concerns bordering on the emerging oil and gas industry.
The foundation messages are carried out through the broadcast of the popular cartoon “Captain Planet”.
Laura Turner, daughter of founder of CNN, Ted Turner, told Joy News the foundation is also aimed at getting children get involved in protecting the environment.
