Real Madrid restored their lead over Barcelona at the top of La Liga with a 3-1 win over Osasuna, but the victory was overshadowed by a shocking leg break
Tano Bonnin suffered the horrific injury in the first half, clashing with Isco and breaking his leg in the process. The incident shocked a number of the Osasuna and Real Madrid players, although the away side took the lead soon after through Cristiano Ronaldo.
Sergio Leon equalised just after the half-hour mark, making the most of a Real Madrid backline struggling to adapt to a three-man shape. Zinedine Zidane changed things at the break, with the away side side looking much more comfortable after the restart.
Isco’s goal put Real back in front after 62 minutes, before Lucas Vazquez’s stoppage time goal completed the scoring to put Zidane’s side one point ahead of Barcelona’s at the top of La Liga, with two games in-hand still to play.
