Police in the Eastern region have backed down on an earlier stance to stop conveners of pressure group, Let My Vote Count Alliance from going ahead with their public rally on Sunday.
The rally is to sensitize Ghanaians about the NPP’s petition that the 2012 presidential elections results were stolen for John Mahama.
But the inaugural rally held in Dome-Accra last week has come up for criticism.
The leaders of the rally failed to notify the police as spelt out in the Public Order Act.
They were invited for questioning by the police but were yet to honour the invitation.
This initially put in jeopardy the subsequent rally which is expected to take place in the Eastern Region.
But convener of the group David Asante told Joy News the program is going ahead tomorrow in Koforidua, after reaching an agreement with the police.
