Ghanaian Premier League side Kpando Heart of Lions made a false start to their campaign in this year's Caf Champions League after a 0-2 defeat to Etoile Filante in the preliminary qualifying round on Saturday.
Lions who were making their debut never looked overawed by the occasion and created some decent chances in the opening minutes.
Etoile Filante opened the scoring in 24th minute from a goal-mouth melee.
The Burkinabe champions added the second with two minutes remaining for play.
Lions will have to win by three goals to nil to progress to the next stage of the competition.
