Chef de Mission, Nii Adotey Din Barimah 1 corroborated the GOC President’s optimism. In a related development, Clement Ike Quartey, Silver Medalist at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome has joined the camp of the Black Bombers to lend his experience to the young boxers. The Olympian told Asempa Sports that Ghana’s inability to win medals at the Olympics since 1972 is due to the lack of attention given to Amateur Boxing in Ghana but is however hopeful good tidings at this year’s event.
