The Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo and Deputy Minister for Interior, Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, has recognised distinguished citizens for their contributions to the development and progress of Kroboland.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Terlabi said the awards aim to motivate residents to emulate the dedication and service of those being honoured. “It should be a reminder to everybody that hard work and dedication would not go unnoticed,” he said.

The accolades were presented to both living and posthumous recipients, including former MP Michael Teye Nyaunu and former Volta Regional Director of Health Services, Dr Joseph Teye Nuertey, among others. Awardees received customised Kente cloth, Fugu, and citations of honour.

The event concluded with the presentation of motorbikes to the top ten branches in the constituency that recorded the highest votes in the 2024 elections, which saw the NDC win the general elections.
Eastern Regional Minister, Rita Akosua Awatey, urged grassroots party members to continue their efforts to ensure the success of the government of President John Dramani Mahama.
