In the next few days the exercise of political oversight of the various ministries, departments and agencies will be undertaken by key advisors appointed by President John Mahama.
The special advisors will serve as a liaison between the various chief directors of the public agencies and the President.
Policy advisor to the President, Dr. Sulley Gariba, who disclosed this exclusively to Joy News, explained the move is a temporary measure whilst the president awaits parliamentary vetting and approval of his ministerial nominees.
Sulley Gariba also denied speculations he has been appointed the Chief of Staff in Mahama’s administration.
According to him, it is the prerogative of the president to choose who he will work with adding, he had not been informed of any appointment.
He said his role as Advisor to the president ended the night before the swearing in and he has since not been assigned any official role.
