“Poor infrastructure such as leakages in the roofing, inadequate beds and dilapidated physical structures have affected health care delivery in the hospital,” he told the Ghana News Agency last Friday.
Mr. Ofori Amanfo said the hospital served people from Mampong, Pru, Atebubu, Nkoransa and Offinso Districts.
He stated that it’s only source of revenue is internally generated through the national health insurance scheme.
He said the hospital had four Ghanaian doctors, two Cuban doctors, four anaesthetics and one Medical Assistant, adding that this is not enough.
He however added that the facility can boast of a modern laboratory and theatre, a back-up generator, water system and a physiotherapy department.
Mr Ofori Amanfo called on the government and other stakeholders to help the hospital with resources to enable it to provide quality health care to the communities.
