A 36-year-old farmer, Mr Apureyure Ahosbuno, on Monday morning allegedly clubbed his five year old son, Yaw Ahosbuno and 32 year old brother, Mr Apewin Ahosbuno to death at Mirigu in the Kassena Nankana District.Narrating the incident to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Bolgatanga after the arrest of the suspect, Superintendent of Police Mr Victor Agbetornyo, Upper East Regional Crime Officer, said the suspect woke up from sleep at about 0300 hours and used a stick to club the heads of his son and brother who died instantly.According to Mr Agbetoryo, the suspect, in his statement, explained that he had killed his brother because he, his brother, invited him home from Kumasi with a promise that he would collect the dowry of their sister and share it with him but failed to do so and he got tired of waiting.The Crime Officer said the mental state of the suspect could not be immediately determined but that the suspect's relative, Mr Abongo Simon told the Police that he was not normal.The case would soon be arraigned, Mr Agbetornyo said.Source: GNA
