A middle aged man who has been posing as a bank staff to hoodwink customers of about five commercial banks in Kumasi has been nabbed by police.
Kwaku Badu, a father of five, dresses formally - a tie, neatly ironed long sleeves shirt, pressed trousers and matching shoes - and visits Cal Bank, Ghana Commercial Bank, Ecobank and Unibank branches in the Ashanti regional capital to defraud unsuspecting bank customers of thousands of Ghana cedis.

The affected banks put the figure of cash stolen by Mr Badu at about GH¢65.000 in total.
Sources from the banks say he poses as a bank staff and takes customers' deposits under the pretext of jumping the queue to deposit on their behalf at the back office. He then absconded with their monies.
Kwaku Badu was arrested at the Adum branch of Unibank last Friday when he tried to hoodwink another customer.
Unibank officials say prior to the Mr Badu's arrest, they have been receiving many complaints from customers.
Police conducted an identification on Monday March 23, 2015 where both victims and security men at the banks identified him as the scammer.
