Nene Teidjahene Korabo IV, chief of Manya in the Dangme West District of the Greater Accra Region, has called on the people to bury their differences and unite to develop the area.
He said without unity, no community, town or country could develop and that unity played a leading role in all spheres of life.
Nene Korabo made the call at the end of this year's 'Mountain-Climbing' expedition at Shai near Dodowa on Friday.
The exercise on the theme: "Let us develop Shai State for a better Future", formed part of activities marking the celebration of 'Ngmayem' festival of the chiefs and people.
About 1,000 walkers made up of children aged as low as six and adults over 70 years, took part in the exercise, which was sponsored by Promasidor Ghana Limited.
Nene Korabo advised other chiefs to do away with chieftaincy disputes and foster unity for total development for their areas and the country as a whole.
