Ghana's sole representative in this year's continental competition Medeama Soccer Club have qualified for the final round of qualifiers in the CAF Confederations Cup competition, despite losing to Zambia's Zesco United by a goal to nil Sunday.
Medeama won the first leg by defeating Zesco United by 2:0 at the Essipon Stadium. Zesco only managed 1:0 win in the return leg played at the Levi Mwanawasa stadium in Ndola, Zambia.
The Mauves thus qualify for the next stage of the competition on a 2:1 goals' aggregate.
Medeama SC will now meet a yet-to-be-known Champions League side that drops to the Confederations Cup in the final qualifying round.
