Media personality and publicist Edward Aganesh has underscored the indispensable role of media promotion in the trajectory of an artiste’s career.
In a reflective piece shared via his official Facebook page, he said “In today’s rapidly evolving entertainment landscape, media promotion is not merely advantageous—it is imperative for artistes aspiring to achieve sustained growth and relevance.”
“It amplifies visibility, fortifies personal branding, fosters audience engagement, and unlocks pathways to industry recognition and financial opportunities. Beyond mere exposure, strategic media engagement enables artistes to retain cultural relevance, manage their public image, and ultimately convert creative talent into a viable and enduring career.”
He further accentuated the significance of digital media in contemporary music promotion, stressing the need for artistes to harness the power of social platforms effectively.
In particular, he advised leveraging the expansive reach of TikTok and Snapchat influencers to disseminate music content to broader demographics.
According to him, the digital era demands adaptability, and success is increasingly driven by trend participation and viral content.
As a case study, he referenced globally celebrated Nigerian artiste Davido, whose Timeless album rollout exemplified the impact of meticulous media strategy.
“Davido prioritizes media promotion, and that is precisely why the launch of Timeless achieved monumental success,” he remarked.
Edward Aganesh’s insights serve as a timely reminder to both emerging and established artistes that media presence is not a secondary concern, but rather a cornerstone of artistic influence and commercial viability in today’s entertainment economy.
