Mr Martin Amidu, Minister of the Interior, on Monday appealed to the public to assist the police administration with relevant information to facilitate investigations into the Agbogloshie disturbances that claimed lives. Mr Amidu was answering a question from Mr Justice Joe Appiah, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma North about the stringent measures the ministry had initiated to bring to book the perpetrators of the crime against the innocent Ghanaians who were butchered in broad day light at Agbogloshie, a suburb of Accra. Mr Amidu said one suspect, Musah Adams Mohammed, a soldier who was arrested in connection with the clashes had appeared before Court. He said one of the difficulties encountered by the police in investigating the case had been the failure or reluctance of persons who have alleged that they possess names of or know the identities of the perpetrators to co-operate with the law enforcement agencies to facilitate the investigations.Source: GNA
