The Ministry of Youth and Sports has started paying outstanding allowances owed the beneficiaries of the Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneur Development Agency (GYEEDA). A statement signed by Mr Elvis Afriyie-Ankrah, Minister for Youth and Sports on Wednesday, said the payment was in pursuant of Government’s directive to pay all beneficiaries their allowances and to exit them from the Agency’s employment modules. “Should any beneficiary experience any difficulty in accessing their allowances, they may contact their respective Regional and District Co-ordinators of the Agency for redress,” it said. The statement, however, regretted any inconvenience the freezing of the payments might have caused the beneficiaries.
