More policemen have been deployed to Joma, a village near Ablekuma in Accra, where a chief was assassinated by unknown assailants.
The police presence is to provide security and keep peace in the area.
The deceased, Nii Ayittey Norya-tse, also a musician popularly called Araz, was found dead in his room, Monday morning, with gun-shot wounds on his chest.
His family says he had received death threats from some people over land issues.
Four people, including one of the chief’s aides were arrested yesterday. The Odorkor District Police Commander, Superintendent Abraham Akwei tells Joy News that two other people have also been picked and interrogated.
The State-owned Daily Graphic newspaper reports that those arrested include a rival chief, Nii Solomon Aya Ayii, and the Zongo Chief of Joma, Sariki Moses.
The Chief Linguist of the community, Nii Ayikoi Ayeh, and an elder, Nii Sipi,who are reported to have gone to the house of the chief on Monday morning for a court appointment, are also being interrogated by the Odorkor Police.
