The Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya constituency of Ashanti, Benito Owusu-Bio was Thursday dawn robbed at gun-point in his residence in Tema.Mr. Benito Owusu-Bio told Joy News he was robbed of his phones and personal belongings by three unidentified men.
“I was there (sleeping) when I opened my eyes...then I saw somebody in my bedroom in a mask with a jacket and a gun...Then he said; where is your money?” the MP narrated to Joy News.He said after he showed them where he was keeping "some cedis", they then asked if he had any jewelries in his room but he replied the negative. Mr. Owusu-Bio said he felt traumatised by the attack.The MP suspects, the robbers may have been operating within the area and may have been monitoring him over time.He has since reported the case to the Tema police who have begun investigations.
