Your super station, Joy FM and sister station, Asempa FM have been awarded for their exceptional efforts in promoting road safety in the country.
The National Road Safety Commission conferred the award on the two at a ceremony in Accra Thursday.
Joy news’s Francisca Kakra Forson also picked up the best road safety report for radio with her hotline documentary Killer Roads.
Sales and Marketing Manager David Max-Fugar who was the brain behind Joy FM's road safety campaign last year says he is excited the station’s hard work has been recognised.
"For us in Joy FM, our mantra is 'what matters to you matters to us,' that is, what matters to our listeners, what matters to our audience, matters to us and we know [the issue of] road accidents is one of the very key things that matters to our listeners and so as a station we come out periodically with innovative intervention to reduce accidents on our roads," he stated.
