The 4Kids channel on MultiTV on Saturday, April 13 organized an award ceremony to climax its educative program, 4Kids Essay Competition, held on Independence Day, March 6.The event, attended by participants of the competition and their families, was held at Zenith University College, La, Accra to present prizes to the winning students after a weeklong audition process.Out of over 1,000 entries submitted, 80 qualified to move to the next stage to begin the three-day audition process with the judges.On day one, 40 essays were dropped to give way to the best 40, after which 20 were dropped on day two and then 10 on day three. During the three days, students were interviewed to determine their ability to read well and also write the essays they submitted.Graded under two categories, Juniors (7-11 years) and Seniors (12-15 years), the top 10 winners from the two categories combined received prizes ranging from a RLG laptops, MultiTV digibox, books from EPP Books Services, watches, diaries and 4Kids branded T-shirts.Winning schools included Christ the King International School, Ridge Church School, Cosmos Basic School, Crown Prince Academy, Queens International School, Rising Sun Montessori and Osagyefo Leadership International School.Aisha Rex Sumani of Ridge Church School emerged tops in the Junior category while Maureen Kyere of Christ the King was crowned winner in the Senior category.
