The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) is set to embark on a walk on the 15th of November to mark the International Day of Tolerance. The walk dubbed the Musiga Tolerance Walk is expected to bring together over 10,000 musicians in Ghana to march against the politics of insults in Ghana. A member of MUSIGA’s Communications team, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo told Hitz FM the walk will start from the MUSIGA head office through the principal streets of Accra and end at the Parliament House. He noted that, there is a perception that there is so much division and bickering in the Union and with the current administration of President Obour, it is important to present the Union as one united body. At the end of the walk the Union will present a petition to parliament to register its position on the current climate of insults in our politics. Apart from Accra, the walk will be held in the other nine regions of Ghana that same day. The walk nationwide will end with presentations to the various Regional Ministers. After his election, Obour’s first call was for unity among both young and old musicians.
