The propaganda secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress and MP aspirant for Keta, Richard Quashigah believes what is supposed to be a “gargantuan” rally by the NPP over the weekend did not live up to its billing.
Speaking with intended sarcasm, Richard Quashigah said that “if the NDC was to hold a Greater Accra Regional rally at Mantse Agbona, the whole place will be full to capacity”.
“Even Odododiodoo alone can marshal our supporters (NDC) to fill the place”.
Reacting to Nana Akufo-Addo’s message to his supporters at the rally held at the weekend to the effect that the NDC had no message for Ghanaians, Richard Quashigah said the NPP flagbearer has decided to put on “double mask” so he wouldn’t see what the President is doing. Quashigah believes Nana Addo on his nationwide listening tour did not see most developmental projects on-going in the country.
The propaganda secretary challenged the opposition leader to come out and tell Ghanaians what success he (Nana Addo) chalked as a cabinet member and a Member of Parliament, adding that if Nana Addo had consulted “men and women of wisdom” in the NPP, he would have been advised not to talk about personal records and compared himself with the sitting President, John Mills.
In an interview with Xfm Big Bite host, Abena Asiedua Tenkorang, Richard Quashigah said Nana Addo’s quick dismissal of claims he is a violent person is a cliché, however, he (Nana Addo) has refused to apologize to Ghanaians about his infamous “All die be die” statement; saying international concerns about Nana Addo’s character discredit him to lead this nation.
“We the NDC are concerned about his (Nana Addo) refusal to deny the allegation of his use of hard drugs, which is a conviction not just by Ghanaians, but the intentional community especially the Americans”.
“Nana Addo should come out and clear the air about all this allegations mentioned against him”.
“Ghanaians are looking for a leader who will be very clean, because we all know what narcotic drugs can do to a society” Richard Quashigah lamented.
“A man’s gift will bring him before Kings, but what will maintain him there is his character, so no matter how talented you are, if you lose character, you will lose it all” Richard Quashigah stated.
On the issues of policies, the NDC’s Propaganda Secretary dared the NPP to come out and tell Ghanaians what they (NPP) achieved in their first four years in power.
